Visit Procedure
The client came over mainly because of the housing project he is planning in Suriname. He already has the land, and from what he shared, there is quite a shortage of housing locally, so the idea is to start with around 20 units and possibly expand later.
We didn't follow a very formal schedule during the visit. After a quick introduction in the showroom, he naturally spent more time looking at the Expansion house units. What mattered to him was quite practical - whether the layout works, how much space can actually be used, and how complicated the installation would be. Compared with other options, this type seemed more in line with what he had in mind.
Later, we took him to see the production side. Instead of just explaining, we walked through the workshop while things were actually being made. He asked quite a few questions along the way, especially about how the structure is treated and how we deal with details that might affect long-term use.

When we sat down to talk more seriously, his requirements became very clear. The climate in Suriname is humid, so waterproofing and moisture resistance are not something he wants to compromise on. He also repeated a few times that this is not a temporary project - the houses are meant to be sold, so the quality needs to hold up over time.
Based on that, we went through a few options together. For example, improving the galvanization of the steel structure, and using aluminum materials on the exterior to better handle the environment. At the same time, we also talked about what happens after installation - what kind of maintenance would realistically be needed, and how that affects long-term cost.

One thing worth mentioning is that his schedule that day was actually quite tight - he had a train to catch at 2:50 PM. So everything had to move a bit faster than usual, but in the end we still managed to go through the key parts without rushing the important discussions.
After this visit, both sides have a much clearer direction. The next step is to work out the details more precisely and move forward with the quotation.
